DJ Dtone begins to learn the art of Turntablism (Jan 07)

I have just added my 2 new videos and my attempt of turntablism. My new year resolution is to seriously get back to my roots of the music I first started with, which basically is Hip-Hop and R&B.   

I will be providing at least one video per month to show my progression hopefully for the better and not for the worst :). I would appreciate any comments or feedback on your thoughts whether it's  good or bad. To watch the videos please click here.

New tutorial on the basics of how to mix (Jan 07)

I have decided to add a new page on my website called "Tutorials" and my plan to add a videos and sound recordings as well as written information of the art of mixing. Since this page will be more of a teaching aid for those who wants to be a DJ, my goal to pass my knowledge and experience

I have gain throughout  the past 15 years as a DJ. Since I am a strictly an old school DJ, sadly my lessons will be for the purpose of using turntable and not CD/MP3 deck players.

Although there are different tools, the basic of mixing is still the same and hopefully other dj's using other tools whether software or hardware based will learn a few thing or two.
